NanoBridge Semiconductor, a Japanese developer of low-power and harsh-environment semiconductor technologies, has adopted Siemens’ Precision FPGA Synthesis software as part of its field-programmable gate array (FPGA) development programme.
Under an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement, NanoBridge will offer customers a version of the Siemens synthesis tool tailored to its NBS6503H and NBS1201 FPGA device families. The companies said the arrangement is intended to help designers achieve high-quality synthesis results while streamlining implementation workflows.
NanoBridge focuses on semiconductor technologies designed for demanding applications, including aerospace, automotive systems, smart infrastructure and other environments where power efficiency and reliability are critical. “Our adoption of Siemens' Precision FPGA Synthesis enables us to provide our customers with a synthesis flow tailored for our FPGA device families while continuing to expand the ecosystem supporting our technologies,” said Toshitsugu Sakamoto, co-founder and chief technology officer of NanoBridge Semiconductor.
He added that the company aims to accelerate innovation and broaden adoption of its FPGA products for use in some of the world’s most challenging operating conditions. Siemens said the collaboration reflects growing demand for advanced design tools that can help semiconductor companies bring increasingly complex programmable devices to market more efficiently.
