Altera has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with European electronics distributor Rutronik aimed at expanding customer access to its field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technologies across Europe.
The partnership forms part of Altera's broader multi-distributor strategy and is intended to provide customers with greater purchasing flexibility, enhanced technical support and improved supply chain resilience. Through the agreement, Rutronik will distribute Altera’s FPGA portfolio to customers across the region, supporting projects from initial development through to production.
Thomas Boudrot, Head of EMEA Sales at Altera, said the company’s focus as an independent FPGA supplier is to help customers accelerate innovation. “As an independent FPGA company, Altera is focused on delivering the solutions customers need to innovate faster. Rutronik's technical sales team brings a unique and focused approach to the European electronics market and its commitment to customer success make it a valuable addition to our channel ecosystem.”
Rutronik said the addition of Altera’s products strengthens its semiconductor offering and expands its ability to support customers developing advanced intelligent systems.
